Why can't I identify more mushrooms?

Accepted Answer

Free users are limited to 2 successful mushroom identifications per day. Once you have reached this limit, you will need to wait for it to reset every 24 hours. To remove these restrictions and enjoy unlimited identifications immediately, you can upgrade your account to Premium.

How does mushroom identification work?

Accepted Answer

Simply snap or upload a clear photo of a mushroom using the Identify feature. Our AI analyzes the images and provides a list of possible matches, each with an accuracy score to help you evaluate the results. Tap on any match to view detailed information, including its common and scientific names, edibility, safety warnings, physical characteristics, habitat, distribution, look-alike species, and more. Free users can identify up to 2 mushrooms per day, while Premium users enjoy unlimited identifications.

Do I need to create an account?

Shroom AI allows you to browse as a guest; however, guest data is stored only on your local device. This means your collection may be lost if the app is deleted, the device cache is cleared, or storage is deleted. Creating an account ensures your data is securely saved and synced across all your devices.

What happens to my data if I delete the app?

Accepted Answer

If you have an account, your data is stored securely on our servers and restored when you sign in again. Guest data stored on the device will be lost. You can also request account deletion anytime from Settings.

What's the difference between free and premium?

Accepted Answer

Free users can identify mushrooms, build collections, explore the Global Catalogue, use AI chat, and participate in the Community Feed with certain usage limits. Premium removes these limits and unlocks full access to detailed mushroom information, unlimited identifications, collections, AI chat, Community features, and more.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time through the App Store or Google Play Store settings, depending on your device. Once canceled, your Premium access will continue until the end of your current billing period, after which your account will return to the free tier. By staying subscribed, you ensure uninterrupted access to all Premium benefits. If you choose to cancel, you can always resubscribe later at any time.

You can organize mushrooms using the built-in Owned, Identified, and Wishlist collections, as well as custom collections you create yourself.
