    This Privacy Policy explains how Shroomzy: Mushroom Identifier ("Shroomzy," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the Shroomzy mobile application and related services.

    Shroomzy provides AI-powered mushroom identification, mushroom information, collections, community features, AI Chat, and other mushroom-related tools. The app may include functionality similar to Trackzio’s other identification apps, including photo identification, personal collections, global catalogues, AI Chat, community posts, subscriptions, and account management.

    2. Information We Collect

    Identifiers and Account Data

    For guest users, we may generate and collect a Firebase anonymous user ID.

    If you create an account or sign in, we may collect:

    • Name
    • Email address
    • User ID
    • Authentication provider information
    • Profile name or nickname
    • Country, age, or gender, if voluntarily provided for personalisation
    • Information received through Google, Apple, or email-based sign-in

    Images

    We collect images that you upload or capture for:

    Images may contain background information such as people, objects, surroundings, landmarks, or location clues. Users should avoid uploading unnecessary personal or sensitive information.

    Users may also manually enter a city, region, habitat, or observation location without granting precise location permission.

    Some images or prompts may be processed by third-party AI providers, including Google Gemini or other AI and cloud-service providers.

    5. Important Mushroom Safety Disclaimer

    Mushroom identification through photographs is inherently uncertain. Shroomzy may produce incorrect, incomplete, or misleading results.

    is provided for general educational and informational purposes only.

    Do not eat, taste, handle, prepare, sell, or use a mushroom based solely on an identification or statement provided by Shroomzy.

    Always obtain confirmation from a qualified local mycologist, mushroom expert, poison-control authority, or other appropriate professional before consuming or using any wild mushroom.

    If mushroom poisoning or exposure is suspected, contact local emergency services or a poison-control centre immediately. Do not rely on Shroomzy for emergency, medical, toxicological, or treatment advice.

    6. Data Sharing and Third Parties

    We share information only where reasonably necessary to operate, secure, analyse, and improve Shroomzy.

    Service providers may include:

    • Firebase for authentication, databases, analytics, cloud infrastructure, and related services
    • Google Analytics for Firebase or GA4 for analytics
    • Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting and diagnostics
    • Google Gemini or other AI providers for AI Chat and mushroom-image analysis
    • Cloud hosting, storage, content-delivery, and backend providers
    • App stores and payment providers for subscriptions and purchases
    • Customer-support, email, moderation, fraud-prevention, and security providers

    • Public posts and comments may remain available until deleted, removed, or the associated account is deleted.
    • Moderation and abuse records may be retained for safety, fraud prevention, legal, and enforcement purposes.
    • Analytics, crash, and diagnostic data may be retained according to the settings and policies of the applicable service providers.
    • Purchase and subscription records may be retained where necessary for accounting, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and subscription management.

    Some information may remain temporarily in backups or be retained where required by law.

    11. International Data Transfers

    Your information may be processed or stored outside your country, including in India, the United States, or other countries where Trackzio or its service providers operate.

    Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections or other legally recognised mechanisms.

    12. Children’s Privacy

    Shroomzy is not directed to children under the age of 13, or the higher minimum age required in a user’s jurisdiction.

    We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age.

    If we become aware that such information has been collected without appropriate authorisation, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

    Parents or guardians who believe that a child has provided personal information may contact us.

    13. User Content Ownership and Licence

    You retain ownership of content you upload or post.

    By submitting content to Shroomzy, you grant Trackzio a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, display, adapt, and use that content as reasonably necessary to:

    • Operate the app
    • Provide mushroom identification
    • Display community content
    • Maintain private collections
    • Provide AI Chat
    • Moderate content
    • Respond to support requests
    • Prevent abuse and fraud
    • Improve identification and app functionality

    This licence continues only for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes, subject to applicable law and any retention obligations.

    14. Consent and Withdrawal

    Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time through available app settings, device permissions, account controls, or by contacting us.

    Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before the withdrawal.

    Certain features may no longer function if required permissions or processing consent is withdrawn.

    15. Account and Data Deletion

    Users may request deletion through available in-app controls or by contacting us.

    Upon a valid deletion request, we will delete or anonymise associated personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is necessary for:

    • Legal obligations
    • Fraud prevention

    Deleting the app from your device does not automatically delete your account or server-stored data.
